Two excellent guitarists, Raphaël Bereau and Tizoc Romero, joined me at the studio last week to record their debut EP, about to be released in the following weeks.

The program includes two pieces by Isaac Albéniz: Malagueña (arranged by Raphaël Bereau) and Aragón (arranged by Gruber & Maklar) as well as the well-known piece by Dušan Bogdanović – No Feathers On This Frog.

I produced both the audio tracks and the live multicam promo video of No Feathers On This Frog that you can see at the top of this post.

As you might have noticed, Raphaël and Tizoc are playing gutiars by two iconic luthiers – a 1978 Fleta and a 1986 Friederich. They both sound amazing IMO.

Recorded using 2 Oktava Mk-012 microphones and 2 modded Oktava Mk-012 mics with MJE-K47H capsules, run through Metric Halo and Focusrite preamps and converters. Mixed on Adam A7X monitors.

Video shot on Canon 600D with Canon 50mm F/1.8 lens.
