I’m happy to share my latest video with you – Postcards from Bohinj – showcasing picturesque scenery of Lake Bohinj, Voje Valley and Mostnica Gorge in Northern Slovenia.
I spent a beautiful weekend with my family there in August and brought the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with me. I shot about 25 minutes worth of footage, all handheld and shot with two different lenses: Panasonic Lumix 14mm f/2.5 and Minolta MD 28mm f/2.8. Inspired by the scenery, I decided to record a little guitar improvisation to complement the edited video.
Audio recording setup
The improvisation was recorded live on my new Martin GPCPA5K acoustic guitar, using two spaced microphone pairs:
- Nearby: Rode NT1A modded by Michael Joly and Oktava Mk-012
- Further away: 2x Oktava Mk-012 with MJE-K47H capsules
Additionally, I used just a touch of the signal coming out of the Fishman F1 Analog pickup system, which sounds surprisingly good.
Below you may also watch the video of me recording this improvisation.
