As some of you may know, I’ve recently purchased a new 4K video camera for my studio production work – the Panasonic G7. So far I’ve been quite pleased with it, although it is far less versatile for color grading than my trusted Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I’ll write a few in-depth posts about my experience with this camera, but in the meantime here’s some great news for the existing G7 users.

Panasonic has just rolled in a new feature in their 2.1 firmware update with the brand new Post Focus feature. To know more about it, take a look at the video below. In a nutshell, whenever you choose Post Focus mode, the camera will take a series of 4K photos and then let you decide where you’d like to focus the frame.
